Savia announced the
integration of its agrotechnology division, strengthening operations at Seminis, Bionova and other
agro related businesses. The Division will be headed by Mr. Eugenio Najera who will also act as
COO for Seminis.
Mr. Alfonso Romo, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Savia, commented, ``The strategy of value

leadership position in the vegetable seed industry and play a key role in agrotechnology worldwide.
The integration of this division will permit us to seamlessly implement strategies that will strengthen its

service these operations and implement the optimization programs that were announced previously.''
Mr. Najera has extensive experience and has undertaken leadership roles in the operations of public
companies with widespread exposure on the worldwide financial markets. His management
experience within Savia includes roles as CEO of Cigarrera La Moderna and Executive Director of
Seguros Comercial America. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Savia, Seguros
Comercial America, Seminis and Bionova.
