Research Director and CEO of CBWA,
University of Western Australia
Associate Professor Wallace Cowling, says CB™ Argyle is a
mid-season flowering, triazine tolerant variety, with high oil
content and moderate resistance to blackleg.
"It's not just a pretty flower - it was one of the top yielders
in National Variety Trials (NVT) in southern Australia in 2007,"
he said.
World-leading statistical research, funded by
GRDC and applied to 2007
NVT yield data, has shown that yield of CB(tm) Argyle was 108%
of Tornado TT in WA and SA, 110% in NSW and 112% in Victoria in
a new multi-environment trial analysis.
CB™ Argyle is available for sowing in 2009.
