Report Highlights:
On August 22, China’s
National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) issued a
directive on the promotion and direction of the domestic
soybean industry. The directive gives guidance to Chinese
ministries about regulating the soybean industry and
marketplace. While many of the components aim to support
domestic production and maintain consistent supply, several
concerning sections suggest a deepening government
involvement in the market.
