Golden Harvest Seeds announces dates and sites for the 2008 Agronomy Up Front University

.

Golden Valley, Minnesota
January 9, 2008

Learn more. Grow more. Earn more. That’s what producers can do by attending Golden Harvest Seeds’ Agronomy Up Front® University. The University will be in session in three locations in 2008:

Jan. 28 - Peoria, Ill., Par-A-Dice Hotel & Casino
Jan. 29 - Dubuque, Iowa, Grand River Center
Feb. 5 - Kansas City, Mo., Harrah's Casino & Hotel

Growers will have the opportunity to explore new concepts geared towards increasing profit potential from research conducted by Golden Harvest’s unique Agronomy Up Front research program.

Research agronomists will be on-hand to talk about the Agronomy Up Front practical research results and how they can help producers deliver higher yields, improve their operations and make better business decisions.

Sessions will feature the following topics for growers to choose from, including: Agrisure™ RW and other new corn technology traits, managing continuous corn, planting date management and managing cutworm.

“Golden Harvest’s Agronomy Up Front is the oldest and most respected agronomic research program in the country,” said Bruce Battles, agronomy marketing manager for Syngenta. “The research we do has helped growers reach and exceed their yield potentials for more than 20 years. An event like this allows us to reach more growers, helping America’s farmers even more.”

Last January, the inaugural Agronomy Up Front University drew almost 350 growers to Council Bluffs, Iowa. Of those attending, 98 percent said they would attend another University session and recommend it to another producer.

The event is certified by the American Society of Agronomy's Certified Crop Adviser Program (CCA), the largest certification program in agriculture throughout the U.S. and Canada. Seed advisers or consultants can earn hours towards their certification by attending the conference.
