CropLife Canada announced today that Jill Maase has
joined the association as Vice President, Plant Biotechnology
and Government & Public Affairs. In addition, Peter MacLeod
has been promoted to Vice President, Chemistry and Janice
Tranberg to Director, Plant Biotechnology Stewardship and
Regulatory Affairs.
"Jill has served as our Government Relations consultant
for both plant biotechnology and chemistry sectors for the
association for many years," said Lorne Hepworth, President
CropLife Canada. "She has a great understanding of our
technologies, our evolving industry, and the legislation and
regulation that governs our members' products."
In her new role, Jill will be responsible for leading the plant
biotechnology sector, and will be responsible for the strategic
management of Government and Public Affairs for chemistry and
plant biotechnology. "Jill has a great deal of expertise and
perspective that has and will continue to serve CropLife Canada
and its members well," said Hepworth. "We are pleased to welcome
Jill on board."
"Peter has recently been serving as Acting Managing
Director Chemistry and Executive Director, Crop Protection and
his work in this regard has been outstanding," replied Hepworth.
"In his new role, Peter will be responsible
for the overall management of the chemistry area. Peter has been
a tremendous asset to our organization and we know that he will
continue to strengthen the association's work on the chemistry
side."
"Janice has recently been serving as Manager, Stewardship
& Regulatory Affairs," Hepworth said. "Janice will take on
additional responsibilities for outreach and member services in
the plant biotechnology arena. Janice, through
her time here at CropLife and her previous industry experience,
has a great understanding of the industry, regulatory aspects
and public outreach and we are pleased to congratulate Janice on
this promotion."

CropLife Canada is the trade association representing the
manufacturers, developers and distributors of plant science
