Garst Seed Company
recently named Blake Mumm as area agronomist for southeastern
Nebraska. Mumm, a former sales consultant and agronomy location
manager for United Farmers Coop, Inc. in Hampton, Neb., will be
one of two Garst agronomists covering the eastern Nebraska
region.
Mumm will provide agronomic expertise, technical support and
product information to growers in his territory. He will be
based in Hampton.
"Blake brings with him a comprehensive understanding of today's
agricultural community. His extensive background in crop
consulting will make him a valuable addition to Garst's strong
agronomy force," said Jim Bueltel, agronomy services manager for
Garst. "He has a sound understanding of crop production and
excellent communication skills. We?re excited to have him on the
Garst team."
Mumm is a certified crop adviser with the American Society of
Agronomy. Prior to his 13-year career at United Farmers Coop,
Inc., he worked as a crop consultant at Mieth and Associates in
Lincoln. He is a 1992 agri-business graduate with an emphasis in
agronomy from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
