Fontanelle, Nebraska

REA Hybrids, Aberdeen,
South Dakota has joined
American Seeds, Inc.
(ASI) under the management of
Fontanelle Hybrids,
Fontanelle, Nebraska.
ASI purchased the sales and
marketing assets of REA Hybrids in February. “Fontanelle will be
managing the REA Hybrids brand in their target marketing area of
South Dakota, North Dakota and Montana,” Steve Pike, Fontanelle
President said. “The REA Hybrids name is strong in that area so
we’ll be keeping the brand in place with the same sales and
management staff the customers know and trust.”
“This is a great situation for
everyone involved,” Pike said. “We can offer REA’s customers a
more in-depth line up of products, and by having more customers
overall in that shorter season environment by combining the
number of REA and Fontanelle customers, we will be able to offer
Fontanelle customers additional products as well. REA has a
unique position in the short season and silage market in a
geographic area other seed companies have not spent a lot of
time paying attention to. Fontanelle has the Midwest marketing
experience and a broader operational base so all of our
customers come out ahead on product offerings, REA Hybrids takes
the next step to grow with their brand into the future and
Fontanelle continues to grow in geography, staff and product
offerings. It’s a good decision for all.”
Fontanelle Hybrids markets corn,
soybeans, grain sorghum, alfalfa and sunflowers in Nebraska,
Iowa, Kansas, Colorado, Missouri and portions of Illinois,
Minnesota, South Dakota and Texas as an independent operating
company within American Seeds Inc, a holding company of
Monsanto. |
