Syngenta receives go-ahead to resume sale of Agrisure RW in Minnesota

.

Golden Valley, Minnesota
April 25, 2007

Syngenta has been informed that the Minnesota Department of Agriculture today has lifted the stop sale order and approved Agrisure™ RW for sale in Minnesota effective immediately. Syngenta’s branded seed businesses – Garst, Golden Harvest and NK® Brand – will proceed immediately to fill grower orders for corn hybrids with Agrisure RW.

Syngenta is requiring all growers throughout the U.S. who purchase seed with Agrisure RW to sign a Stewardship and Grain Use Marketing Commitment Agreement. This stipulates that grain produced from Agrisure RW hybrids must be directed to domestic uses, such as livestock feed and ethanol production.

“Corn growers in Minnesota and throughout the country need access to the very latest technology choices, such as Agrisure RW, to boost yields and improve quality so they can capture as much value as they can from this expanding corn market," stated Jack Bernens, Head, Agrisure Traits.
