Syngenta Seeds appoints Clayton Becker and Jody Foutch as trait support managers for the Agrisure traits business

Syngenta Seeds announces the appointment of Clayton Becker and Jody Foutch as trait support managers for the Agrisure™ traits business.

“We’re extremely pleased to welcome Jody and Clayton to the Agrisure team,” says Jack Bernens, head, Agrisure traits.  “Their field sales and marketing experience will help us better understand and meet the needs of growers with industry-leading traits, germplasm and assurances.”

Becker  (left) supports and represents Agrisure with NK Brand and GreenLeaf Genetics™ licensing business of Syngenta, providing marketing assistance and product information.  Prior to joining Syngenta, Becker received his Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural economics from the University of Missouri.  Over the past six years, he worked with NK Brand as field sales manager and area marketing manager.

Foutch (right) provides technical training and marketing support for Agrisure traits and AgriEdge™ Corn crop enhancement programs to seed companies, including Garst® and Golden Harvest®.   He brings four years experience as a field sales manager for NK Brand in west-central Illinois and four years experience as a regional sales agronomist with NK Brand in Missouri and southern Illinois.  He graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural economics.

Agrisure traits includes Agrisure™ CB, which protects corn crops from damage by European corn borers; Agrisure™ GT, which provides tolerance to glyphosate herbicides; and the Agrisure™ GT/CB stack.. Syngenta is also preparing to launch a new corn rootworm trait, the MIR604 Event*, which will be commercialized as Agrisure™ RW, in elite hybrids of Garst, Golden Harvest, NK Brand and other leading seed brands.  This new corn rootworm protection is in the late stages of approval and is expected to be available to growers in the U.S. for planting in the 2007 season.
