Garst Seed Company hires area agronomist in Nebraska

Garst Seed Company recently hired Brett McDonald as an area agronomist in Nebraska.  

McDonald will provide agronomic support to growers in south central and southeast Nebraska. He will be based in Phillips, Nebraska.

McDonald previously worked as a precision agronomy specialist for Aurora Cooperative Elevator Company in Grand Island, Neb. While there, he worked in general agronomy sales and service, as well as various precision endeavors, including yield monitor sales and service, grid soil sampling, variable rate (VR) prescription development, and field support of VR equipment at the producer level.

McDonald earned his bachelor’s degree in agriculture from the University of Nebraska— Lincoln, with an emphasis in crop production agronomy.
