Garst Seed Company hires area agronomist in Indiana

Garst Seed Company recently hired Kess Berg as an area agronomist in Indiana.  

Berg will be responsible for providing agronomic expertise to growers throughout central and southern Indiana. He will be based in Zionsville, Ind.

Before joining Garst, Berg conducted agricultural research as a postdoctoral research associate for the Agricultural Research Service in Fayetteville, Ark. Prior to that, Berg was a graduate research assistant for the Department of Agronomy at Purdue University.

Berg earned both his doctorate and master’s degrees in agronomy/plant physiology from Purdue University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in crop and soil science from The Ohio State University.
