Waterloo, Nebraska
October 13, 2005The
numbers are in and, by every measure, 2005 is going down as the
best year in the history of
Golden Harvest
Seeds, Inc., according to joint operating heads Jim Sommer
and Rob Robinson.
Based on the latest facts and figures, Golden Harvest®
has set records in just about every category, including:
- Best corn unit volume (up
13%)
- Best soybean unit volume
(up 20%)
- Corn/soybean net sales
revenue average (up 22%)
“It takes a combination of
dedicated people, outstanding products and great customers to
achieve such terrific results,” Robinson said. “In light of the
changes we’ve made during the past year, it sure feels good to
get this kind of measurable feedback from our customers.”
With overall net sales up for Golden Harvest, the company is not
only growing with its long-term loyal customers, but it is
adding new customers, as well, Sommer explained.
“2005 has been an exciting year and the results are looking good
from so many different directions,” Sommer said. “We’ve hosted a
record number of field day events this year that have been well
attended by growers throughout the nation. We’ve added more than
200 new sales representatives since the Syngenta merger. And our
Agronomy Up Front® Research efforts have doubled in
size, with an even sharper focus on ways to improve profits for
growers.”
“The future is looking strong with the addition of AgrisureTM
and HerculexTM I Insect Protection traits to our corn
product line-up. For 2006, we have 13 new conventional corn
hybrids, 53 new hybrids with advanced technology, as well as a
solid line-up of soybean varieties, both conventional and
Roundup Ready® technology,” Robinson said.
Golden Harvest Seeds, Inc., a Syngenta affiliated company, is
one of the nation’s fastest-growing agricultural seed brands
focusing on hybrid corn, soybeans, hybrid sorghum and alfalfa.
Genetics FirstSM, Agronomy Up Front® and
