Garst Seed Company launches new website which helps make seed decisions easier for growers

Slater, Iowa
June 20, 2003

Growers can now access product information and company news on Garst Seed Companyšs new user-friendly Web site. The new site was launched in May and provides growers information about Garst products and services.

The Web site features a set of tools that allow growers to compare and contrast Garst products. For example, a grower can select a set of criteria for soybeans such as maturity dates and specific traits. Once the criteria has been selected, the Web site will generate a list of Garst products that meet the groweršs requirements.

This new tool allows for quick and easy access to information for growers to find the seed that best fits their needs.

In addition, a section of the new Web site has been devoted to providing information about current crop issues and trends. The articles in the news area will provide the most up to date information on issues surrounding Agriculture, as well as providing highlights of Garst initiatives and people in the marketplace.

"It is exciting to be able to offer our customers this quick and easy tool to research Garst products," said Lori Thomas, marketing manager for Garst Seed Company. "Our sales reps will be able to easily connect a groweršs needs with the products Garst has available for them, or growers can access the Garst website and investigate on their own. The Web site has been designed to be easily navigated and precise in its delivery of information. Itšs a great tool for growers to see why It's Gotta be Garst."

The Web site also offers the grower the ability to print off a detailed product profile, which highlights a complete list of characteristics and traits for Garst corn, soybean, sunflower, sorghum and alfalfa products.

Garst Seed Company is the largest member of the Advanta group of companies.

With corporate and research headquarters in Slater, Iowa, Garst, along with AgriPro, AgriPro Wheat, Interstate Seeds, Gutwein Seeds and PSA Genetics are key components in Advantašs worldwide seed technology network that includes research, development and breeding facilities in 14 U.S. states and in 26 countries around the globe.
