Garst
Seed Company announced
today that Eugene Suter, business development manager for Garst
Seed Company, will be heading up Garstıs relationship with farm
management firms. His role is to work with farm managers to
provide agronomic outlooks, product information and other
resources that will help farm managers with their operations.
'I am extremely pleased to have the opportunity to introduce
several new programs to Garstıs marketing efforts,' Suter said.
'I am looking forward to working with farm management firms
throughout our market area. We have created a task force to
coordinate farm management issues. The programs we have planned
will reinforce the commitment, performance and technology for
which Garst Seed Company prides itself.'
Suter has already established a farm management task force. This
task force is comprised of experts who can offer farm managers
more local resources and marketing programs.
'Eugene Suter offers the leadership and expertise needed to
assist Garst in continued growth in the seed industry,' said
Mike Smidt, national sales manager for Garst Seed Company. 'His
extensive knowledge of the seed industry will be of great
benefit to Garst, as well as Garst growers.'
Suter joined AgriPro Seeds in 1992 as business development
manager and was quickly promoted to Marketing Manager for the
company, a position he held until the company joined Garst as
part of the Advanta group in 1998. Suter has also served the
seed industry in the capacity of district and regional sales
manager and spent three years in Jamaica teaching agriculture.
Garst Seed Company is the largest member of the Advanta group of
companies. With corporate and research headquarters in Slater,
Iowa, Garst, along with AgriPro, AgriPro Wheat, Interstate
Seeds, Gutwein Seeds and PSA Genetics are key components in
Advanta's worldwide seed technology network that includes
research, development and breeding facilities in 14 U.S. states
and in 26 countries around the globe. Together, Advanta is one
of the top five seed companies in the world.
