To provide high quality seeds to its farmers, BRAC’s seed development and marketing programme has set up eight seed farms to produce a wide variety of certified high quality seeds.
Objectives of the programme:
- Provide high quality seeds to VO members and small farmers
- Increase agricultural productivity

- Maize
- HYV and hybrid rice
- Cotton
- Spices
Seed distributed in 1999:
- Vegetable: 133.47 MT
- Rice: 700 MT
- Wheat: 50 MT
- Maize: 227 MT
