CPB Twyford (CPBT) is the result of the combination in 1995 of two plant breeding companies, Cambridge Plant Breeders Limited and Twyford Seeds
Limited.
In 1996 the Company was acquired by a consortium of European breeding companies comprising
Lochow-Petkus
GmbH of Germany, the cereal subsidiary of the KWS
Group. Lochow-Petkus holds a 74% interest, with the remaining 26% interest held by
SIGMA of France in association with NPZ-Lembke of Germany.
