King Henry is a medium sized, dark green, romaine that is heavily savoyed. King Henry is upright in growth with a dense heart, outstanding texture and thick, crisp leaves.

This variety is slow bolting and suitable for early and late desert plantings in hot areas and is corky root resistant. This variety has excellent holding abilities – it lasts and lasts, in the field and on the shelf.

King Henry is the choice for hearts, for salad plants and for conventional packs in the coastal regions of the western United States or similar climates.
