Indigo and Landus advance digital enablement of ag supply chain - Market+ debut delivers critical component of industry’s first soil to sale collaboration

Memphis, TN, USA
February 10, 2022

Indigo Agriculture, a company leveraging nature and technology to unlock economic and environmental progress in agriculture, has unveiled the industry’s most advanced solution for streamlining grain merchandising, Market+ Merchandise, delivering efficiency and unlocking additional value for farmers. Partnering with Landus, Iowa’s largest co-op and an industry leader in farmer-centric innovation, on the launch, the inaugural technology release is the latest demonstration of Indigo’s ongoing effort to serve as the ag industry’s independent technology platform provider.

“By partnering with Indigo, we’re able to put breakthrough science and technology directly in the hands of our network, helping farmers and buyers streamline their work, capture more profitable outcomes, and lean into new opportunities along every step of the supply chain,” said Matt Carstens, President and CEO of Landus, which has begun to rollout Market+ Merchandise to its farmer-owners as part of the companies’ recently announced multi-year collaboration. “Agriculture is constant adaptation. But with market forces like digitization and sustainability transforming the industry real-time, ensuring the success of our farmer-owners and customers requires not just adaptation, but a fundamental evolution of how we do business. Indigo is the single, independent partner with the technology, capabilities, and sustainability expertise to help successfully navigate these disruptive forces and ensure farmers come out on top.”

A leading developer of scientifically rigorous, data-driven sustainability products and programs, Indigo helps farmers monetize climate-friendly practices across their unique operations. The company’s focus on industry collaboration, combined with its diverse portfolio of offers, enables a digital transition of the agriculture industry, connecting stakeholders across the agricultural ecosystem to unlock sustainability and profitability benefits for all.

The first strategic collaboration to span Indigo's full set of offerings, Landus will empower grain buyers and growers to improve profitability and efficiency from soil to sale, including:

  • Operational efficiency through a simplified and direct digital grain merchandising and marketing experience for buyers and farmers
    (Market+).
  • New income opportunities from sustainability initiatives including the industry’s premier carbon farming program (Carbon by Indigo) and sustainable sourcing programs (Market+ Source).
  • Improved crop performance and input efficiencies with microbial seed treatments (biotrinsic™).

“By complementing Landus's agronomic, merchandising, and service capabilities with market leading expertise in sustainability and technology solutions, together we can deliver more value to every grower,” said Ron Hovsepian, CEO of Indigo Ag. “Landus has built a long history of agronomic expertise, collaboration, and trust in the industry. We are proud to serve as a partner in innovation to help bring Iowa farming forward into the future.”
