On 12 January our local team and its distributor organised a cucumber field day in the Samarkand region, one of the key areas for cucumber production. Thirty-five distributors, dealers, growers and nurseries came to visit the greenhouses to discover all Sakata’s local varieties for the autumn season. The spotlight was focused on Rebel F1, a cucumber that is very well adapted to the area.

After the greenhouse visit, the visitors and our teams shared a lunch and took the opportunity to learn more about Betis F1 tomato for the hot to cold cycle which produces a better size, colour and yield for the autumn tomato market, as well as Ferrari F1 pepper which is also grown in this region.
