Syngenta's "Queen of the hall" Calliope steals the heart of many Russian growers

September 29, 2021

From September 14th till 16th over 250 exhibitioners from a dozen different countries participated with a stand in this great Russian flowers event. It was encouraging to see that the business took a turn for the better after the impactful Covid year 2020. Growers were excited about the new genetics and the event had a true international atmosphere. The Syngenta Flowers Russia team were hosting the stand in their hometown Moscow. Nevertheless the Syngenta stand could only be described as a true international showcase. The wide assortment of Syngenta Flowers seeds are already quite known and famous in the Russian market. But lately Russian growers are getting familiair with the outstanding vegetative varieties that Syngenta offers from their production sites in Kenia and Guatemala.

Russian flower producers truly were amazed by the beautiful stand decoration. Of course the vegetative genetics were taking the lead role in the product displays.

Calliope Landscape could only be described as the true Queen of the Hall at the expo. Like a fairy tale Cinderella, the variety drew the attention of all and ended up in many ball booklets for orders coming season. It is more than likely that the Calliope will beautify many public parks throughout the Moscow area coming summer.

One thing is for sure, the Dekko series is not the average Petunia Hybrida... This new series features compact, very well branching plants for pot sizes of 10,5 up till 14 cm pots and the hanging baskets as you can see on the picture. Dekko's are ideal for color combinations, because all the colors show exceptional garden perfomance and the series come in a wide range of colors.
