Brian Mulroney to headline GrowCanada conference in Ottawa

December 3, former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney will open the GrowCanada Conference, the premier agriculture event of the year.

Over the course of the two-day conference Mulroney and the other speakers will address the theme of this year's conference – Optimism and Opportunities. Agriculture is one of the most important sectors in Canada and around the world, and it is driving innovation to help address some of the world's most pressing challenges. Sometimes these challenges seem insurmountable, but agriculture is an optimistic industry focused on turning challenges into opportunities.

Speakers at this year's conference include:

  • Brian Mulroney, Canada's 18th prime minister
  • Inside Ottawa: the pundits panel:
    • Tasha Kheiriddin, political commentator and columnist, National Post and iPolitics
    • Paul Wells, senior columnist, Maclean's magazine
    • Althia Raj, Huffington Post Canada's Ottawa bureau chief
    • Susan Delacourt, senior political writer, the Toronto Star
  • Terry O'Reilly, host, CBC Radio's Under the Influence and author of The Age of Persuasion
  • Dan Brodsky-Chenfeld, Skydiving World Champion and author of Above all Else

The GrowCanada conference brings together approximately 500 leaders in Canadian agriculture to exchange ideas, explore cutting edge insights and build a stronger and more vibrant Canadian agricultural sector that ultimately contributes to a better world.
