We are looking for a Seed Quality Specialist to join our AP team in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

The Seed Quality Specialist will be reporting to the Quality Management Supervisor, will manage US samples, including processing and importing them to Canada. Will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with internal teams such as breeding, crop analytics, marketing, and sales, as well as external partners like labs, tollers, CFIA, CSGA, WSDA and State Crop Improvement Associations. Additionally, the Quality Control Specialist will serve as a key user of SeedLIMS, SCOPE, and SAP, providing training and support to new staff, troubleshooting issues and overseeing data transfer and interface operations.

As a Seed Quality Specialist - Idaho Falls, ID, you create chemistry by...

  • Manage certification applications and field inspections for production fields, ensuring compliance and certification for seed lots.
  • Process, ship and prepare import documentation for harvest, clean, and treated samples, minimizing delays.
  • Be the key user of internal computer operating systems (SeedLIMS, SCOPE & SAP), including training, troubleshooting, and data transfer.
  • Partner with agronomy, finance, logistics and seed supply planning to communicate and update quality activities for seamless seed supply.
  • Uphold quality and compliance through annual reviews and maintaining QC documents to meet internal,external, and audit requirements.

If you...

  • A 4-year degree in business administration, logistics, or any agricultural-related field, or in lieu of degree you have 2-4 years of related experience in quality control or quality management.
  • Working knowledge and experience with computer operating and software systems, including Microsoft Office  or similar programs.
  • Experience in agriculture/seed production or quality (preferred).
  • Experience in Database systems such as SAP or LIMS (preferred).
  • The ability to partner with different departments and external parties and tollers to achieve results (preferred).
  • Working knowledge and experience with government regulatory requirements and ISTA training would be considered
