We are seeking a Director Global Crop System Wheat to join our AP team in Research Triangle Park (RTP), NC.

This position will lead the Global Crop System Wheat (Cereals, OSR/Canola and Sunflower) developing and implementing a Global Strategy driving success in BASF with the focus on drive countries in North America and Europe.

As a Director Global Crop System Wheat, you create chemistry by...

• Developing the Global Crop System Strategy for Wheat (develop, agree & communicate strategy including action list /milestones, implement measures of action, develop Crop System KPI framework, define R&D targets, define new technology targets and investment needs).
• Developing, prioritizing, funding and supporting implementation of connected offers (new business models) within Wheat CS crops. Those connected offers include digital, sustainability, FVC, seed and CP elements.
• Taking accountability for annual new formulation / LCM upside innovation process within R&D BG cycle leading cross-regional ideation, project scoping and decision process for new product development for Wheat CS crops.
• Supporting relevant Indications/asset management teams in the application of the Global Wheat CS strategy within the development of the respective SBU strategies.
• Steering a global virtual team to success including cross-functional operational target agreement system. 
• Ensuring development of team members according to skills and potential.

If you have...

• Master´s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Agronomy, Business or similar background. (Ph. D. is preferred)
• International work history preferred in Wheat Crop System markets; agronomic and product development experience preferred in F&V crops.
• Deep market understanding of key Wheat, OSR/Canola, Sunflower markets and trends. Marketing and/or strategy experience.
• Leadership experience particularly leading virtual teams.
• Strong customer focus preferred in agriculture.
• Strong intercultural communication skills.
• Business case development and evaluation.
