Job description

 POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Communications Intern at our U.S. Corporate headquarters location in Davis, CA. This internship is a compensated position during the 2021 summer (30+ hours/week).

It is an opportunity for an undergraduate or graduate majoring in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related field to work with a global corporate communications team. This individual will participate in a wide range of internal and external communications activities throughout the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES  

Primarily a supportive role to the Internal Communications Specialist AMPA, specific work may include:

INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS

• Gain understanding of HM.CLAUSE goals, branding, and communication techniques.
• Assist with creation and distribution of internal emails, news stories, blogs, signage, videos, etc.
• Support implementation of employee engagement campaigns
• Help plan company events and internal meetings
• Aid in content/design development of internal marketing materials
• Assist content administration and editing/proofreading
• Work closely with cross-functional departments/business units and outside partner agencies

Profile

 EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree program, majoring in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related field
• Experience editing/proofreading/creating content for the web, social platforms and/or publications
• Familiar with social media best practices and channel strategies
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS)
• Experience with Photoshop, Survey Monkey, and Yammer platforms a plus, but not required

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
• Detail-oriented and organized with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work individually and in a team environment.
