Temporary Lab Technician
Location: Davis, California, USA

Job responsibilities:
- Preparing samples and lab supplies for chemical analysis, including (but not limited to) cutting, grinding, drying, freezing, weighing, etc.
- Assisting Scientists in conducting chemical and non-chemical analysis, including (but not limited to) extraction, chromatography and spectrophotometry assays, firmness test, color test, etc.
- Recording data from chemical and non-chemical analysis by utilizing appropriate software tools
- Maintaining sampling records/data
- Ensuring proper operation, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment
- Adhering to all safety requirements, in the lab as well as in the office
- Keeping the cleanliness of workspace, lab equipment, glassware, etc.
Skill requirements:
- Ability to follow directions and to communicate with personnel responsible for the project
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Accuracy in pipetting, weighing, and reading instructions
- Well-organized
- Able to coordinate and perform multiple tasks in an efficient and timely manner
- Detail oriented
- Self-motivated
- Comfortable working independently as well as in a team
Education requirements:
- BS degree in Science, preferably Chemistry, Food Science, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Nutrition
- 0-1 year of experience with wet lab work
Work hour: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day; 5 days per week)
