Enza Zaden in San Juan Bautista, CA is looking for a highly motivated research professional to join our team.  

What are you going to do?  

As Farm Manager you will support the direction and coordination of cultivation activities for the Research and Development station in San Juan Bautista, CA. You will oversee Crop Workers and help care for the crops for the benefit of the research department or breeders to help in the implementation of the breeding program. Observes aspects of the crops’ development and has the expertise needed to propose improvements. You are also responsible for local legal requirements, such as safety, inspections and accident reporting.  

You will support the R&D team dynamics at the station, ensuring the culture of the local station is in line with Enza Zaden's values and principles.

In short, you:  

• Higher professional level (Bachelor’s Degree)  
• 2 years of relevant work experience  
• Must be able to operate and calibrate farm equipment; tractors, setup cultivators, irrigation systems and sprayers.  
• Pesticide application license preferred or will need to obtain within 90 days of hire.   
• Forklift certification preferred  
• Works on Saturdays and holidays as necessary.  
• Strong (people) management skills.  
• Bilingual – proficient in both the English and Spanish language.
