Roland Peerenboom graduated in 1982 with a
Master in International Business from the University of South
Carolina, USA (now the Darla Moore Business School).
From 1982 to 1987, he worked in a
financial/commercial capacity for Royal Dutch Shell.
From 1987-1997, he worked in various Senior Management functions
for Nutricia (now called Numico) a Dutch multinational involved
in the production and marketing of dairy-based products, infant
formulas, baby food and enteral clinical nutrition. Mr.
Peerenboom worked for this company in Holland, Indonesia, Eastern Europe and
Switzerland.
From 1997-1999, he worked independently and was involved in the
marketing of medical disposables and turn-around management.
Early 1999, Mr. Peerenboom joined Enza Zaden as
Commercial Director.
Enza Zaden is an independently owned vegetable seed company
based in Enkhuizen, Holland. The company is well known
especially for her sweet pepper, cucumber, (tasty) tomato and
leafy vegetable programs. Enza Zaden employs more than 450
people around the world and is involved in the organic vegetable
seed business through her daughter company Vitalis.
Roland Peerenboom is currently Chairman of the Working Group
- Organic
Vegetable Seed of the European Seed Association (ESA) and
Chairman of the Working Group - Organic
Seed of the International Seed Federation (ISF).
