I have been managing director of Elsoms Seeds Ltd for nearly 30 years. Although we are a small company of about 60 people, thanks to a very good team and excellent material we distribute for others or breed ourselves we have become one of the principal seed companies in the UK covering both vegetable and agricultural crops.

I have been actively involved in trade association matters nearly all my career in our industry and have been Chairman of the British Society of Plant Breeders and now, in the last three years, President of the European Seed Association. Being the first President of this vital new association has been a special honour and challenge.
