Main Goal

• Lead the R&D Operations team in Thailand.
• Plan and oversee the organization and the management of the operational and technical support necessary to bring to a successful conclusion the cultures of the trial activities at Khon Kaen R&D Station (TH) while reaching the requirements of safety, quality and budgetary limits.
• Constantly look for and drive efficiency gains and improve processes of operational activities.
• Communicate timely and accurately with breeding team and other departments (country organization, pathology, QC, QA,…).

Job description

• Lead R&D Operations team in Thailand and Indonesia; Member of Asian R&D LT
• Manage OPEX and CAPEX; support regional Operations Director in developing midterm plan
• Maintain good/productive relationship with clients (breeders, country organization, support functions)
• Plan and track field and greenhouse activities based on breeder requests as in resource planner; establish crop agreements with breeders ahead of cropping season
• Manage farm and crops. Accountable for timely preparation of land good cultivation of crops and maintenance of farm and farm equipment.
• Drive efficiency gains through implementation of more efficient processes and new techniques.
• Ensures compliance with company internal and local HR, security and Health and Safety regulations
• Establish and maintain SHIELD internal phytosanitary protocol in Khon Kaen site including seed movement

Profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in farm management.
• Experience and knowledge in the leadership and LEAN techniques; resistance management to agrochemicals; soil conservation; new horticultural techniques.
• Good communication and client management skills.
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently, creative, innovative and self -discipline.
• Good command of English and Thai.
