Siegers Seed Company is pleased to
offer the FarMore™ Technology Pak
on many of its commercial seed varieties. This novel approach to
vegetable crop protection defends the crop at the most critical
time of its development.
“FarMore™
Technology Pak is a great concept. It assures the
seed is uniformly treated with the optimal amount of seed
protectant materials available today,” explains Roy Pearman,
Director of Sales and Marketing at Siegers Seed Company. “Plus,
new seed treatments are being registered for control of
additional pests which will soon be available in the FarMore™
Technology Pak. It’s one less thing a grower has to worry
about allowing them to focus on more important business
matters.”
By targeting early season
seed-borne and soil-borne fungi that cause decay, damping-off
and seedling blight the FarMore™ Technology Pack offers
many advantages including:
- Accuracy and Convenience –
Accurately applied on the seed and delivered in the seed package
- Enhanced disease protection –
Gives crops a health start to maximize yield, protect quality
and increase early season vigor
- Broad-spectrum protection –
Protects against a variety of diseases in variable environmental
conditions
- Enhanced seedling germination,
emergence and health
- Improved stand establishment
- Excellent worker protection
and environmental profile
How does it work?
FarMore™
Technology Pak works by
accurately applying selected compounds in appropriate ratios
directly onto the vegetable seed. The delivery is customized to
each crop seed and combines low use-rate compounds which have
been registered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
under its “Reduced Risk” pesticide program. Plus, it works with
current seed technology processes such as disinfection,
encrusting, pelleting, priming and film coating.
FarMore™
Technology Pak is for
direct seeding only and not for plants intended for
transplanting. It provides superior protection in the following
small-seeded vegetable crop groups:
- Fruiting vegetables
(tomatoes, peppers)
- Leafy vegetables (lettuce,
spinach)
- Bulb or root vegetables
(carrot, onion)
- Cucurbit vegetables
(cucumber, melons, squash, watermelon)
- Brassica vegetables
(broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower)
Field and Trial Results
Siegers Seed Company is also
pleased to report that the FarMore™
Technology Pak has demonstrated a high degree of
safety on a variety of vegetable seeds, both in traditional
planting and under highly stressful conditions. It has
demonstrated excellent effectiveness against key pathogens
implicated in seed-borne and soil-borne diseases as well as
improved stand establishment, early season vigor and yield
protection under inoculated and un-inoculated conditions.
