Simplot Turf and
Horticulture's BEST® brand, the leading name in fertilizer West of
the Rockies, has entered the seed market with five new premium-quality
turfgrass seed blends for landscape applications.
Formulated to excel in a
variety of climates, the BEST grass seed formulations benefit from the
extensive research and quality production of Simplot Turf and
Horticulture's Jacklin Seed line. They are available in a variety of
package sizes to meet any requirements. Additionally, packages include
bilingual labeling. The BEST grass seed formulations include:

SELECT™ - A
five-way blend of Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass and fine
fescue blend, SELECT features genetically improved varieties
offering rapid establishment, excellent ability to adapt to full
sunshine or heavy shade, disease resistance and an exceptional
dark green color.

IMPULSE™ - A
three-way perennial ryegrass blend, IMPULSE is endophyte-enhanced
for improved insect resistance. Additionally, it provides superior
mowing quality as well as excellent wear tolerance and a dark
green color.

PRIZE™ - A
three-way Kentucky bluegrass blend- PRIZE's genetically superior
varieties feature improved disease resistance, wear tolerance and
a dark green color. It can be used in full sun or light shade.
- REWARD™ - A three-way blend
of semi-dwarf tall fescue, REWARD provides improved heat and
drought tolerance and excellent disease resistance. It is
compatible with most fescue sod varieties and has a dark green
color and proven ability to be overseeded into any existing turf.
- SURGE™ - A five-way blend
of perennial rye and creeping red fescue, SURGE grows well in
coastal climates. The genetically improved varieties offer a dark
green color and are endophyte-enhanced for improved insect
resistance.
