Greg Maack recently was promoted to plant and contract production manager of Mycogen Seeds in Hastings. Formerly, he served as
operations manager for Mycogen Seeds in Eagan, Minn.
Maack’s new responsibilities will include overseeing daily operations at the corn and
soybean production plant, managing inventory, satisfying customer shipments and ensuring
the company’s quality standards are met.
"Mr. Maack’s 23 years of experience in the seed business clearly qualifies him
to help move the Hastings plant into the next century," says Tim Primus, operations
leader of North America for Mycogen Seeds. "His strong leadership abilities will help
ensure the plant’s continued success.
Primus points out that Maack is committed to actively involving the company in community
and agricultural initiatives. "For example, Greg has worked very hard at offering
valuable employment opportunities to youth, providing numerous jobs for high school and
college students during the summer," he adds.
Maack holds a bachelor’s degree in agronomy from North Dakota State University and is
