recently was named plant manager of Mycogen Seeds in
York, Neb. Formerly, he served as plant manager at the companys Hastings, Minn.,
production facility.
Klinefelters responsibilities will include operating the facilitys
high-capacity, conditioning tower for hybrid seed corn sizing and packaging. Located in
one of the nations prime seed corn producing areas, the York plant is positioned for
future growth and expansion, says Tim Primus, operations leader of North America for
Mycogen Seeds.
Klinefelter will oversee daily operations at the corn and soybean production plant,
managing inventory, satisfying customer shipments and ensuring the companys quality
standards are met.
"Mr. Klinefelters 18 years of experience in the seed business clearly qualifies
him to help move the York plant into the new century," Primus says. "His strong
leadership abilities will help ensure the plants continued success."
Primus points out Klinefelter is committed to actively involving the Mycogen Seeds plant
in community and agricultural initiatives. "For example, Craig has worked very hard
at offering valuable employment opportunities to youth, providing numerous jobs for high
school and college students during the summer," he adds.
Klinefelter holds a masters degree in agronomy from Iowa State University and is a
Certified Crop Adviser.
