Craig Klinefelter recently was named plant manager of Mycogen Seeds in York, Neb. Formerly, he served as plant manager at the company’s Hastings, Minn., production facility.

Klinefelter’s responsibilities will include operating the facility’s high-capacity, conditioning tower for hybrid seed corn sizing and packaging. Located in one of the nation’s prime seed corn producing areas, the York plant is positioned for future growth and expansion, says Tim Primus, operations leader of North America for Mycogen Seeds.

Klinefelter will oversee daily operations at the corn and soybean production plant, managing inventory, satisfying customer shipments and ensuring the company’s quality standards are met.

"Mr. Klinefelter’s 18 years of experience in the seed business clearly qualifies him to help move the York plant into the new century," Primus says. "His strong leadership abilities will help ensure the plant’s continued success."

Primus points out Klinefelter is committed to actively involving the Mycogen Seeds plant in community and agricultural initiatives. "For example, Craig has worked very hard at offering valuable employment opportunities to youth, providing numerous jobs for high school and college students during the summer," he adds.

Klinefelter holds a master’s degree in agronomy from Iowa State University and is a Certified Crop Adviser.
