Jacklin Seed, a
division of the J.R. Simplot Company’s Turf & Horticulture
group, has announced that Glenn Jacklin has been named location
manager for the states of Idaho and Washington. In his new role,
Mr. Jacklin will be responsible for grower services and plant
and administrative operations. He will oversee plants in Post
Falls, Idaho; Nezperce, Idaho; and Pasco, Washington.
Mr. Jacklin has over 20 years experience in turfgrass
production and grower services. He is active in several industry
and civic organizations and serves as the Grass Seed Advisory
Chairman for the Idaho Crop Improvement Association. He holds a
bachelor of science degree in agriculture with a minor in
agronomy soils from the Washington State University College of
Agriculture in Pullman, Washington.
This appointment rounds out Jacklin Seed’s new management
team. Other members of the team are sales director Chris
Claypool, research and development director Dr. Doug Brede, and
Oregon location manager Rich Underwood. This team, which will
report directly to group president Bill Whitacre, is charged
with leading Jacklin Seed in its continued tradition of
excellence.
