Medalist America names Myra Potts as turf specialist for Southeast U.S.

PottsMyra.jpg (5997 bytes)Medalist America, a leading provider of turfgrass seed, announces that Myra Potts has joined the company as a turf specialist for the Southeast U.S sales region. Potts is responsible for sales of Medalist America seed varieties, distributor relations and technical agronomic support for customers throughout a six-state region: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Mississippi.

Immediately prior to joining Medalist America, Potts was a sales manager for Kelly Seed Co., Inc. in Alabama and Northwest Florida. Her career with Kelly Seed also included positions in purchasing and inventory control.

Potts holds a degree in business administration and computer science from Luriene B. Wallace State College (Alabama). Additionally, she has taken extensive course work from the turfgrass schools at Mississippi State University, Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and Auburn University.

Medalist America is a leading wholesaler of specialty seed blends and mixes: bluegrass, ryegrass, bentgrass, fescues, bermudagrass, zoysiagrass, redtop and alkaligrass. The company also produces several varieties of proprietary grass seed varieties.
