Harris Moran Seed Company is pleased to announce
the promotion of two of its top executives.
Franck
Berger, current Vice President of International Sales, has been promoted to the new
position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing. His duties will include spearheading all domestic
and international sales for the Modesto, CA-based vegetable seed company, as well as all its
marketing efforts.
French-born Berger is an agronomist by training. He started in the seed business in 1985 as a
breeder. Since joining Groupe Limagrain in 1989, Berger has held several positions, including:
manager of flower seed production, director of field production, and vice president of research
and development. He joined Harris Moran in 1997 during the Ferry Morse-Harris Moran merger and
came to the United States then.
Antonio
Neves, current head of North American Sales, has been promoted to a position within a
sister company of Harris Moran. Neves will become Vice President of International
Sales for Clause/Tezier, and will be based in Valence, France.
Neves, also from France, has been with Groupe Limagrain since 1976. He has worked as an export
manager for field corn at Limagrain, and has served as chief operating officer for sister
company Vilmorin in Spain and in the United States.
Bruno Carette, chief operating officer of Harris Moran, says of the announcement: "These two
promotions will bolster sales efforts at both Harris Moran and our European sister company
Clause/Tezier."
Both Harris Moran and Clause/Tezier are owned by
Limagrain, a farmer-owned cooperative in France that's grown into one of the world's largest
vegetable seed companies.
The promotions took effect July 1.
