Progress
and change continue to characterize Daehnfeldt,
Inc., the breeder of Festival Gerbera, Senator and Ambassador
Begonias, Danova Primula and a host of other popular flower varieties.
Most recently, the 150 year-old company developed a new facility in
North Manchester, Indiana to house its North American headquarters.
The new facility was required when Daehnfeldt reorganized its
operations in North America, and closed its facilities in Albany,
Oregon.
About 3 hours southeast of Chicago, the 10,300 square foot
headquarters provides 4,000 square feet of office space and meeting
rooms and 6,300 square feet of warehouse capacity.
On just over 5 acres of ground, the building site will also
accommodate field trials during the summer of 2000. Daehnfeldt’s new
office is the current home base for nine full time and two part time
staff.
