Barenbrug North America opens new research site in Virginia

Roeland Kapsenberg, CEO of Barenbrug North America, is pleased to announce the opening of the new research site on the East Coast of the United States. This facility is located close to Chantilly, Virginia and part of the expansion program to continue the development of Barenbrug grasses suitable for use in the United States.

Gerald van Klooster will be heading the research station in the East Coast, overall research sites in North America, and in particular the research site, which will open in Chantilly, where Barenbrugs' southeast operation is based.

With Geralds' appointment, Barenbrug will bring in a wealth of skills not only in the field of research, but Gerald will also be responsible for the advising, training and education of customers, dealers, and distributors. Barenbrug will be conducting training sessions at their facilities throughout North America, which include Tangent, Oregon, Gilcrest, Colorado, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ogdensburg, New Jersey, and Chantilly, Virginia.

Gerald is looking forward to increasing his liaison and continuing close working relations with all universities and institutions such as Rutgers, University of Illinois, Maryland and many others instrumental in the grass seed industry.
