Akkadix
Corporation, an international agricultural gene discovery and functional
genomics company announced today that it has named two new Vice Presidents to
its management team:
David Cohen has joined
Akkadix as its Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Joining
Akkadix, Mr. Cohen has served as the Chief Financial Officer for a number of
other entities, including RPS Corporation, The Kiosk Food Company, Inc. and J.D
Michael & Co. In these positions he has been responsible for corporate
finance, budgeting, financial reporting, regulatory compliance and investor
relations. Mr. Cohen, a Certified Public Accountant, earned a B.S. degree in
Accounting from the University of Cape Town in South Africa.
John Sanders has joined
Akkadix in the capacity of Vice President, Intellectual Property. Prior to
joining Akkadix, Mr. Sanders was General Patent and Trademark Counsel for Dow
AgroSciences / Mycogen Corporation. He previously held patent counsel positions
at The Nutrasweet Company, S.C. Johnson & Sons, International Minerals and
Chemicals Corp. and The Dow Chemical Company. Mr. Sanders earned a BS in
Pharmacy at the University of Illinois’ Medical Center College of Pharmacy,
and holds both a J.D degree and an LLM degree in International Property Law from
The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. Mr. Sanders, a registered patent
attorney, is also licensed as an attorney in a number of states.

have filed 11 patent applications on inventions arising from our internal and
collaborative research. In addition, we have licensed in technology covered by

resources and developing sound business and intellectual property strategies as
we continue to grow."
