Jan. 27, 1999AgrEvo USA Company has announced the appointment of
Dr. Jane Dever to the position of Product Development Manager Cotton Seed.
Based in AgrEvos Southern/Coastal Business Team Office in Collierville, Dever will
direct the
technical development of FiberMax™ Cotton varieties. Her responsibilities will
include
setting up variety testing, working with university cooperators, and directing all
agronomic
research on FiberMax varieties.
"Jane brings a wealth of cotton breeding experience, as well as textile knowledge to
AgrEvo,"

cotton

Most recently Dever held the position of Senior Research Scientist for BioTex, where she
gained
experience in cotton transformation/regeneration. Prior to joining BioTex, Jane managed
the fiber
quality and materials evaluation laboratory at the International Textile Center (ITC) and
worked
with the cotton bale selection program team for the Plains Cotton Cooperative Association
(PCCA).
Dever is also an experienced cotton breeder, previously holding positions with the Texas
A & M University Agricultural Research and Extension Center in Lubbock. She has a
Ph.D. in
agronomy with plant breeding from Texas Tech University where she also received a M.S. in
Crop Science and a B.S. in Textile Technology.
