July 7, 1999 RAGT Seeds is happy to announce the
registration of its maize hybrid HURRIKAN on the British National List.
For yield as well as for earliness, HURRIKAN is top of the
2-year official trial network including 33 varieties. As a consequence, HURRIKAN will be
eligible on the British Descriptive List in June 2000. It is already available on the
market.
Its main advantages are:
- a high yield potential in silage
- a very good dry matter content
- maturity class 7, close to Marquis
- an excellent root lodging resistance
Its earliness allows HURRIKAN to conquer the main silage
maize markets in UK. Its yield makes HURRIKAN very competitive with respect to the present
leader on the market.
You are all kindly invited to discover HURRIKAN at the next
National Dairy Event in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire, on September 22nd and 23rd. Thousands of
dairy farmers are expected.
