Germain’s
(UK) Limited, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, part of GTG,
the world’s largest independent seed enhancement and coating
technology group, has been awarded a Certificate of Registration
from the Soil Association Ltd.
The specific needs of
organic farmers have led Germain’s in developing a suitable

demanded by organic farming practices. The first phase of this
ongoing development programme has recently been validated by the
award of a Certificate of Registration and Licence Number P7187
from the Soil Association Ltd, under the Organic Food and Farming
and Regulation (EEC) No. 2092/91 for
Organic
Pelleting Seeds
The pellets will be
suitable for a wide range of seed species and growing
applications. These new products will be marketed under the brand
logo device:
Véronique Heyes,
Marketing Director for GTG, comments: "It is particularly
pleasing for Germain’s to be able to participate in the
enhancement of performance of organic farming in providing
pelleting for seed which meets the Soil Association’s
requirement for Organic Food and Farming. Pelleting seeds has long
been recognised a valuable agronomic tool to achieve a high degree
of precision at drilling, and in turn deliver better uniformity
throughout the crop’s growth stages. Now organic growers can
also benefit from this valuable tool for their seed drilling
programme."
