Aventis CropScience today named Brian Ahrens
as product manager for its REGENT(R) brand corn insecticide.
Applied at planting, Regent provides excellent control of first-generation European corn borer, rootworm and wireworm, as
well as grubs, seed corn maggot and seed corn beetle.
"Brian brings a wealth of marketing and sales experience to the position," says Bob Condon, Corn and Soybean Team Lead
at Aventis.
Ahrens joined Aventis (then Rhone-Poulenc) in 1994 as a sales representative in Nebraska and later in Iowa. In 1998 he was
selected to train entry-level sales representatives at the company's home office in Research Triangle Park, N.C. He also
served as program manager in creating and administering retailer/distributor marketing programs. Most recently, Ahrens
served as head of training and staffing with Aventis' Human Resources department.
Ahrens replaces Rob Phillips, who has been appointed product manager for Aventis' cotton harvest aids.
