Zeneca Seeds announces the launch of Primed Hyola
357RR, the company's first Roundup Ready canola hybrid for Eastern Canada.
"We have had tremendous success with our Hyola hybrids in Eastern Canada",
comments Len Hawkins, Eastern Canada Business Manager for Zeneca Seeds. "The
introduction of Primed Hyola 357RR continues the Hyola tradition for yield and performance
excellence while also giving growers a new option for broad spectrum weed control with
Roundup" adds Hawkins.
"Primed Hyola 357RR is a strong performing canola hybrid in Ontario and Quebec field
trials. It shows no yield drag when compared to Hyola 401. In fact we have seen a slight
increase in yield with this variety when compared to our current genetics" says Kent
Schubert, Research Manager with Zeneca Seeds." This hybrid produces a high quality
seed in terms of low green seed and free fatty acids, and has excellent crop uniformity
and harvestability. These are all features that growers have come to expect from our Hyola
hybrids," adds Schubert. "Now Primed Hyola 357RR gives producers a strong
performing hybrid with the added feature of being Roundup Ready."
