Katie Gutzmann joins marketing staff of GreenLeaf Genetics

Katie Gutzmann has joined the marketing staff of GreenLeaf Genetics located in Omaha, Nebraska.

Gutzmann is responsible for customer events as well as managing marketing and promotional initiatives. She facilitates deployment of marketing resources from the parent companies; Syngenta and Pioneer, to enable GreenLeaf Genetics to offer unique customer events such as Go! Plots Technology Days and Oktoberfest. “I am excited to join GreenLeaf Genetics in their commitment to help independent seed companies grow,” said Gutzmann.

According to Bryan Kliewer, Vice President of Marketing and Sales, “We are very excited to bring Katie on board. Her agriculture background and marketing expertise will help GreenLeaf Genetics execute against our unique brand promise to independent seed companies which is simple and effortless access to profitable and high-performing traits and germplasm.”

Gutzmann is familiar with the seed industry through her previous work in communications at Golden Harvest and through her account services role at Ervin Group, an Omaha-based advertising agency.

Gutzmann is a board member of the National Agri-Marketing Association and graduated with a degree from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in Agribusiness.

GreenLeaf Genetics LLC, a joint venture between Syngenta and Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc., a subsidiary of DuPont, offers licenses for corn and soybean genetic material to foundation seed houses and seed companies and facilitates the licensing of biotech traits from its parent companies. GreenLeaf Genetics is currently helping more than 200 seed companies to access genetics and traits from Syngenta and Pioneer.
