Syngenta Crop Protection Canada, Inc., Canada’s leading seed treatment provider announces the expansion of its dedicated seed care team with the promotion of Colin Bletsky to National Seed Care Sales Manager and the appointment of Paul Allen as Crop Manager for canola, cereals and pulses.

“Syngenta is the only agribusiness in Canada with a dedicated seed care team, now standing at 12 strong,” says Duane Johnson, Head of Seed Care Canada at Syngenta. “We are committed to the continued growth of this team and to the Canadian seed care industry. As Canada’s leading seed care provider we will continue to shape the seed care industry with new products, technology and treater programs to help Canadian treaters and growers achieve the best possible results.”

In the last year alone the Syngenta seed care team has introduced the Syngenta Commercial Seed Treater Certification Program (that now boasts over 500 certified treater graduates), Syngenta Commercial Treater University (held at the Syngenta Seed Care Institute in Stanton, MN) and the Cruiser Maxx® Yield Guarantee Program, all of which help treaters and growers adopt best practices in order to maximize yield and profitability.

In his new role as National Seed Care Sales Manager, Colin Bletsky, who has been with Syngenta for eight years, will be responsible for managing the seed care sales team across Canada. He will work closely with distribution, retailers, Syngenta key accounts and Syngenta Crop Protection to continue to grow the Syngenta seed care business.

Paul Allen brings to Syngenta more than 10 years of experience in the agricultural industry, gained at Arysta LifeScience and Quality Assured Seeds. In his new role as Crop Manager he will be responsible for developing Cruiser Maxx® Cereals, Cruiser Maxx® Pulses as well as Helix XTra®, Apron Maxx® RTA and Dividend XL RTA®. Paul will also be responsible for the marketing development of a number of new products and product concepts for the Western Canadian seed care market.
