Growers of glyphosate-tolerant
corn now have the choice of adding atrazine as a tank-mix to
DuPont™ Galaxy™ for enhanced residual control of
lamb’s-quarters.
“Glyphosate-tolerant corn growers continue to see the benefits
of the contact and residual weed control of DuPont™ Galaxy™,”
says Dave Kloppenburg, senior sales territory manager. “By
tank-mixing atrazine with Galaxy™, growers benefit from added
residual broadleaf control of tough weeds like lamb’s-quarters.”
DuPont™ Galaxy™ provides both contact and residual activity in a
one-pass application that helps keep glyphosate-tolerant corn
crops clean during the critical weed-free period. DuPont™
Galaxy™ controls all the weeds on the glyphosate label, and
improves the control of troublesome weeds such as fall panicum,
green foxtail and redroot pigweed. The approval of a tank mix
with atrazine now provides for enhanced residual control of
lamb’s-quarters.
Galaxy™ can be applied from emergence to the 6-leaf stage. With
two modes of action (Group 9 and Group 2), Galaxy™ helps protect
against resistance and shifts in weed populations.
