MAF Biosecurity New Zealand (MAFBNZ) has issued a minor amendment to the Hordeum and Triticum schedules within the import health standard: 155.02.05 Importation of Seed for Sowing. This import health standard is dated 7 May 2009. The revised import health standard is available on the MAFBNZ website:
http://www.biosecurity.govt.nz/files/ihs/155-02-05.pdf

Amendments to the Hordeum and Triticum Schedules

No significant changes have been made to the import requirements.
Amendments to these schedules provide further clarification of the options available for importing seeds. Seeds must be either sourced from a “Pest free area” free from Tilletia controversa (and Tilletia indica for Triticum), or they must be sourced from a “Pest free place of production” free from Tilletia controversa and fungicide treated, or sampled and tested for Tilletia controversa and fungicide treated.

Please also remember to refresh the browser when you open the IHS PDF page.
