The future success of Canadian
agriculture is in its ability to be efficient. "Varietal
development and related technology will lead the way", says Dale
Alderson, Seed Manager, Paterson Grain.
A number of concurring grain companies understand this concept
and have decided to join forces for a common goal of accessing
varieties for added value to their business and their farmer
customers.
Paterson Grain, Parrish &
Heimbecker, Weyburn Inland Terminal, North West Terminal,
Prairie West Terminal and Great Sandhills Terminal have
established a joint venture company in the seed business. The
new seed business unit will be called Alliance Seed
Corporation. This newly formed company will work with local
seed growers to fulfill their objective of providing top
performing varieties to Western Canadian farmers.
Dale Alderson, Paterson Grain, will oversee Alliance Seed
Corporation. In his new position he will assume responsibility
to ensure access to genetics and consistent corporate sales
growth. |
