Renze Seeds announces
the hiring of Mark Gruhn as product specialist. In his new role,
Gruhn will develop and provide product education to the field
sales force. His efforts will support the sales and service of
Renze Seeds’ products and associated technologies while playing
a vital role in product advancement.
Renze’s recent success and growth anticipated upon commercial
launch of new products and technologies such as SmartStax™ corn
hybrids in 2010, along with the introduction of Dow AgroSciences
Herbicide Tolerance (DHT) corn in 2012 and DHT soybeans in 2013,
were key factors in bringing Gruhn to Renze.
“We’re excited to have Mark join our family,” said Craig
Williams, general manager, Renze Seeds. “His experience will
build upon our strong team, greatly benefiting Renze Seeds and
our customers. Our industry is becoming increasingly complex,
and Mark’s expertise will add to the list of reasons for
planting Renze Seeds.”
Gruhn was raised in his family’s seed business, which was
started by his grandfather in 1918 in Manilla, Iowa. He learned
all aspects of the industry from his father, Lyle Gruhn, who was
widely respected as one of the top seedsman in the western Corn
Belt.
Gruhn has held prestigious agronomic and product specialist
positions with his family’s seed company, SuCrosCo Seeds, as
well as Channel Bio Corp, Stauffer Seeds and, most recently, as
corn technical product specialist for Syngenta working with
Garst Seed Company.
